Industry Professional Will Drive Steiner’s Growing Third Party Advisory Services

Thomas (TJ) Drought Jr. has joined Columbus, Ohio-based Steiner + Associates as Executive Vice President, Advisory Services. Drought leads the company’s growing third party leasing and management services business. Steiner + Associates Chairman and CEO Yaromir Steiner made the announcement.

We saw his experience and expertise as invaluable as we continue to grow our comprehensive third party business and national relationships.”
In this role, Drought leads Steiner + Associate’s leasing, management, marketing and advisory real estate services for developers, investors, municipalities and owners of retail, mixed-use, residential and entertainment environments. He will complement Steiner’s executive team and lead the advisory and client oversight of innovative retail, residential, office and mixed-use environments. Steiner + Associates’ has a proven track record of developing some of the most engaging, and highest-performing mixed-use environments in the nation. Those developments serve as social and economic engines for their communities, maximizing returns, asset appreciation and value creation for stakeholders.
Prior to joining Steiner + Associates, Drought served as Executive Vice President. Director of Leasing, for WP GLIMCHER, a publicly traded real estate investment trust (REIT), WPG, NYSE with assets consisting of approximately 70 million square feet. In his previous role, he directed and implemented the strategic leasing plan for a the enclosed and lifestyle center portfolio. He had been with GLIMCHER for nearly 20 years, and promoted to Executive Vice President in 2011.
Drought received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and holds the designations of Certified Retail Property Executive and Senior Certified Leasing Specialist from the ICSC. He also holds a real estate license from the State of Ohio and has been active on several panels regarding retail and the shopping center industry. Drought is actively involved with fundraising for Pelotonia, an annual non-profit bike event based in Columbus, Ohio supporting and raising awareness for cancer research at The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital.
