The Columbus region will soon be home to a third Whole Foods Market, as a new location was announced yesterday via social media. News of the store’s expected arrival was first mentioned back in February, though the deal on the new location was only officially signed last week.
This new 40,000 square foot Whole Foods store will be located at the southeast corner of Morse and Stelzer Roads as a part of the large new Easton Gateway development planned for 2014.
From the release:
“As with every store we open, the Easton store will offer the highest quality natural and organic foods while reflecting the pulse of the community. We look forward to adding another store in Columbus and furthering our connection in the city.”
The new store would be the seventh to open in Ohio. The Lane Avenue location was re-launched earlier this year, and the Dublin location also saw a minor remodeling in 2012.
There is no opening date set yet for the new store according to Deborah Thompson, Marketing Team Leader at Whole Foods Market Dublin. Construction has already begun on the 54-acre Easton Gateway development, which will add over 500,000 square feet of new retail space adjacent to Easton Town Center.
